PostSubject: Session 2 - Etiquette and Courtesy on the Fairway/Rough/Hazards   Thu May 24, 2012 8:06 am

After Session 1, I would like to move to Session 2 and touch on Etiquette and Courtesy on the Fairway/Rough/Hazards.

1. Help you kakis look for their ball if you know where it went after you hit your ball if yours is furthest from hole)
2. Help to shout "Ball' or "Fore" if he forgot to do so.
3. Help repair his divot after he duffed/shank his shot and has been struggling.
4. Don't drive buggy on the fairway (if it is meant to be on the buggy path only)
5. Help bring his desire club (if you are near the buggy) if his current clubs in hand is not suitable for his next shot.
6. Help lookout for his ball after he hit the shot.
7. Advise him on the distance to green (on condition you know) if he asks for it.
8. If his ball went into a water hazard and do not have a spare ball with him, lend him if you have a spare with you. (no penalty for borrowing equipment from competitor in social game)
9. If both your kaki's ball and yours were wayward and you know where you ball is, let your kaki take the buggy to look for his ball if he don't know exactly where his ball may be.
10. If your kaki cannot see whether the flight in front is clear for his shot, drive forward to recce and wave him once
it's clear.
11. If your kaki cannot see the green and don't know where to aim hit shot, drive forward to check it out (if possible
with him along). If he cannot join you in the ride, stand between the green and where his ball lie to indicate the
position to aim.
12. Rake the bunker for him if he just hit the shot out and it barely cleared it.
13. Always check to make sure the ball you are about to hit is yours.

14. Don't pick up stray balls that are sitting in the fairway which you are playing on.

btw, what do you mean by 4. Keep buggy on the fairway (if it is meant to be on the buggy path only)?

"btw, what do you mean by 4. Keep buggy on the fairway (if it is meant to be on the buggy path only)?"

Thanks bro, for pointing out. Typo error or rather wrong construction of sentence. Sentence corrected above.

Should be, "Don't drive buggy on the fairway (if it is meant to be on the buggy path only)"
