PostSubject: Change job, looking at career   Sun Mar 25, 2012 9:50 am

Hello everyone, just quite curiously about some general aspect. I wanna change job, and i fell in love with golf, doing full time work now, part time studying. What industry should i change into so that i can do work well, golf and study? i am in event line now, seems like the odd hours doesnt allow me to study well.

Golf will enable you to have more friends and widen your knowledge of people.

But golf really takes up a lot of time.

Thus it's a tough choice.

For me now, Sunday wanna golf also cannot

Better work first.

Golf is a good game but probably bad as a career as there is no steady income.

Dear bro ayannsg, not to pour cold water or anything. A sportman life span is very short, if you pass 35, you are downhill all the way. So unless you are very talented in your sport, making it carreer and a living is fine but do not expect to own Condo and drive BMW M3 sportcar.

Career and hobby is two different things. If golfing from hobby to a career, after 20 years it's no fun to play golf. But as a hobby, how you play you still can go back to it even after a break.

I know because i am a sportsman myself, now happily retired and trained sport people in Sport School, SOTA and NTU. Golfing a hobby is what i really enjoy, if golfing is a career than ballroom dancing will be my hobby.

You can PM me your contact if you want to know more about Life as Sportman and it's career path, i can talk to you over a cup of coffee.

if i can go back to time...i want to study harder and be a Banker, Doctor or a Professional and play golf in the afternoon.

Just my 2cents worth

Very Happy

guys give ayannsg a break, i think u ppl misunderstood him.. hahahaha

anyway, u can look for some sales job which is more flexible in terms of timing..but still look for some job tht will help u in long term... (of course unless u from rich family n job is juz to pass time )

and if u really have free time, go for lesson from pro periodically to check yr swing.... play as often as u can on the green to learn the "hands on" (u can always join bros/sis in this forum)

i think within 6-12 months, u will enjoy the game more.....

many high hand here to learn from....

I have a friend who work in shifts (weekend). I think it is quite good for golf and study because his off time is on weekdays where golf is cheap and I believe most study happen on weekdays too.
